Hello, team!

We've all been experiencing our own frustrations with the operational side of things lately, so we've decided to do something about it once and for all.

How? By bringing all work and project tracking into a tool called Asana and investing in our internal training, processes, and resources.

If we're successful, this will allow us to cut down drastically on the amount of time that we spend:

1. sending and receiving emails
2. attending meetings
3. asking for and providing progress updates
4. dealing with instant messaging interruptions
5. searching for information
6. managing projects and workflows
and more...

To help us with this, we will be working very closely with one of the UK's top Asana Solutions Providers, Dave Mason (aka Mr. System).

To be clear, we're not trying to introduce any additional admin work or requiring that you "tell us what you're doing all day" by adding it to Asana. This isn't a data entry exercise, nor a reporting exercise (if it was, it wouldn't work!).

The purpose of this process is to make your life at work much easier, not harder.

With Dave's help, we'll be working to systematically eliminate the frustrations, inefficiencies, tedious busywork and other points of friction that get in your way and hold you back from working effortlessly on your most important, creative and meaningful work. 

More details will be available soon, but for now, here's what to expect in the coming weeks:

1. Kickoff presentation

Undoubtedly, there will be many questions. How much time will this take? What's changing? How will it impact me? What will I need to do? etc...

We will be scheduling some time with Dave so that you can learn more about what the next few months will look like for you and the wider company, including plenty of time for Q+A. Keep an eye out for this.

2. Survey

To make sure every single person gets to have their say, we'll be asking you to answer a survey and share your thoughts about our company, your job, your work, the culture, processes and procedures, and more. This will take up to an hour of your time.

RE privacy: Your answers are shared only with Dave so that he can process them, identify the trends and build the strategy. We do not get to see any individual person's responses, only the aggregate results and recommendations.

3. Group training sessions & workshops

Over the next few weeks and months, Dave will be meeting with various working groups remotely via Zoom to deliver interactive training sessions and implementation workshops.

Everybody will be asked to attend the training sessions, but only select, relevant people (including volunteers) will be invited to contribute to the infrastructure development, so as not to waste anybody's time.

IMPORTANT: Each session that is either not booked in time, cancelled at the last minute, or missed entirely costs the company money and severely hinders our progress, so please take extra care when scheduling your meetings to avoid double bookings etc.

4. Unlimited in-app support

If you have a question about anything, Dave is here to help. Whether you're not sure how to do something in Asana, or have a more generic question about processes, documentation, productivity etc. all you have to do is @mention him in an Asana comment.

We have unlimited support from Dave and most simple queries are resolved within 1 working day, so please make the most of this resource. No question is too big or silly!
